Causes of Premature Ejaculation

Address the issues and we will resolve it together

Sexual Anxiety

Dependency on Masturbation

Psychological Stress

Previous experience of premature ejaculation may cause worry and anxiety, which makes it even harder for men to control ejaculation.

Sexual Over-Excitement

Too much excitement during sex can be caused by prolonged period of sexual inactivity, too much arousal or excitement, which may cause premature ejaculation.

Habit of quick masturbation may cause the brain to be more sensitive to sexual stimulation and hence premature ejaculation may happen during sex. For instance, some teenagers may shorten the time of masturbation due to fear of being caught by other family members.

Pubococcygeus muscle

Contraction of pubococcygeus muscle which causes the penis to be extra sensitive, and in turn causes premature ejaculation.

Too focused on the experience and pleasure of their partner instead of their own needs, which may cause premature ejaculation more easily.

Physiological Factor

Premature ejaculation can be caused by an over-sensitive sympathetic nervous system or too high level of testosterone due to diseases or use of medications.

Causes of Delayed Ejaculation

1. Psychological Delayed Ejaculation

Due to distraction during sex, concerns on not fulfilling partner’s needs, or stress from work.

2. Psychological Ejaculate Volume Reduction

Insufficient stimuli from sexual activity may be caused by anxiety, guiltiness and disgust.

3. Physiological Factors

Brain dysfunction can cause inhibitions on sexual arousal, or problems with nerves or spinal cord.
